4th Adair Baronet of Flixton Hall. One of four children of Sir Hugh Edward Adair, 3rd Baronet, and his wife, Lady Harriet Camilla (Adair) Adair. He was educated at Harrow, Christ Church and Sandhurst. He served for a time in 3rd Battalion, Rifle Brigade, as a Captain. He was unmarried and upon his death the title went to his brother, Sir Robert Shato Adair, 5th Baronet.
Lieutenant in The Rifle Brigade (From Derby Regiment) 24/8/1894, retired as a Captain 24/8/1892. Served in 3rd Rifle Brigade in Gibraltar, Egypt, India.
