Born in Womelsdorf, PA on October 31, 1918, she was a daughter of the late John I. and Helen M. (Rise) Anspach. Eleanor was a graduate of Bethel High School in 1935. She was an administrative assistant who started working at Western Union during World War II and last worked at Spotts, Stevens & McCoy retiring in 1981. Eleanor was a long-time member of St. John's Reformed Church, Sinking Spring, PA. She and Donald were avid square dancers and also liked traveling across the United States by car for weeks in the summer.
Eleanor is survived by her son, Joel D., widower of Pauline L. (Nagle) Kenderdine, North Plainfield, NJ: her daughter-in-law Kathryn C. "Kasey" (Winner) Kenderdine, widow of Timothy D. Kenderdine of Reading, PA; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by a grandchild, Katherine A. Henderson, and by her siblings, L. Thomas Anspach and wife Naomi, Ethel and husband Russell O. Motze, Sr., Richard "Dick" Anspach, and Harold Anspach.
A viewing will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 3:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. A memorial service at St. John's Reformed Church in Sinking Spring, PA will be planned at a later date.
