Mrs. Underwood Funeral Rites Set Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Marjorie Frances Underwood will be held in the Crossroads Christian Church at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon with the Rev. Harold Waitman, Baptist Minister, Gracey, officiating. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery in Caldwell County.

Mrs. Underwood, who was the widow of John W. Underwood, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ellis Cline, Route 5, Princeton Road, areound 2 am today. She had been in ill health for some time. Mrs. Underwood was 74 years old.

Daughter of the lat Hiram Parker and Jane Eades Parker, she was a member of Freeman Baptist Chapel, Freeman, Illinois, and a native of Caldwell County.

In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Cline, she is survived by one son, Carl W. Underwood; two other daughters, Mrs. S. B. McIntosh of Caldwell County, and Mrs. Loman Owen of Elgin, Illinois; 25 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Wiley Parker, Ridgley, Tennessee, Hiram Parker, Christian County; and a half-brother, T. E. Adams, Christian County.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The body will remain at the Fuqua Funeral Home until one hour prior to service time.
