Lillian Esther Bowen, 92, of Prince Frederick, Md. passed away on June 21, 2007 at Calvert County Nursing Home. Lillian was born on August 24, 1914 in Barstow, Md. to the late Benjamin Hal and Carrie Esther Weems Bowen.
She was predeceased by her siblings: Benjamin Robert Bowen, James Lloyd Bowen and Betty Ann Smith. Lillian was Supervisor of Housekeeping at Calvert Memorial Hospital.
Lillian is survived by her sister Dorothy L. Bowen of Prince Frederick, Md. and nieces and nephews: William Carey Bowen, Mary Lee Welch, Michael Hal Bowen, Edward Morgan Bowen, William Clifton Smith, Shirley Ann Foard and the late Sylvia Bowen Powers who Lillian raised after the death of Sylvia's Parents. She is also survived by many great and great great nieces and nephews.
The family received friends at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island, Port Republic, MD on Sunday June 24, 2007 from 2-5 PM. where services will be held on Monday June 25, 2007, at 11 A.M. Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery, Barstow, Md. Pallbearers were William C. Bowen, Michael H. Bowen, Edward M. Bowen, Ronald W. Bowen, Larry Welch, and Kerrie Heydt.
