Lowell M. Norton, 91 of Springfield passed away Dec 15, 2014 in Villa Springfield. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on March 7, 1923 the son of Matthew and Eva Norton. He proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II landing on Omaha Beach on D-Day, receiving a Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars; and France's Medal of Honor. Bob retired from Kelsey-Hayes as a draftsman with 37 years of service. He was a member of the Clark County and New Carlisle Sportsman's Clubs; staunch member of the NRA; Chapter 620 Purple Heart and enjoyed both hunting and fishing. Lowell was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Margaret "Peggy" Norton; son Mark (Deborah) Norton; daughters Pamela Heston and Christine (Roy) Evans; step children Debra (Gregory) Gaskill, Jennifer (Todd) Woods and Matthew Kern; grandchildren Yvette Wheeler, Carolyn Peak/Adams, Mark Norton, Roy Evans, Jr., Amy (Michael) Robertson and Jackie Norton; many great & great-great grandchildren. The family was served by the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.
