The death of “Uncle” Jimmy Beckwith occurred Wednesday last at his home near town, after a long illness. Uncle Jimmy was one of the old land marks of this country, being near near 80 years old. He has been quite feeble for some time, and his death was not unexpected. He leaves a wife and several children besides a host of relatives and friends to mour his demise. His remains were laid to rest in the Kennedy graveyard Thursday witnessed by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends.
