Amanda J. Clark is the daughter of John Scott Clark and Elizabeth Edgecomb, she married first John R. Cotton on 8 Mar 1831, after his death she married secondly Jacob Minor Chambers on 30 December 1846, after his death she married thirdly Isaac Pugh Sr circa 1852/3, after Isaac Pugh died, she married as her fourth husband, on 5 March 1865. It seems she and Moses later separated or divorced because they are both found living separately in the 1880 census records.

Amanda's third husband Isaac Pugh had just lost his second wife Malinda Clark who was Amanda's sister. Amanda married Isaac Pugh and helped him raise he and her sisters child Isaac Clark Pugh.

Children from her first marraige with John R. Cotton:
1. Lucinda Cotton
2. Alphonzo C. Cotton

Children from her second marriage to Jacob M Chambers
1. Joseph Chambers
2. Josephine Malinda "Josie" Chambers

Amanda died sometime after 1880 because she is found in the 1880 census in Union, Boon, Indiana living with her daughter Josie, and son-in-law Thomas and their children.
