Beata V. Prange- Raeder, 96, formerly of Kiel died Thursday afternoon March 27, 2008 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice where she had been a resident for the past week.
She is the former Beata Lilge born August 31, 1911 in the Town of Schleswig, daughter of the late August and Bertha (Jeske) Lilge.
On December 12, 1936 Beata married Milfred E. Prange at Zion Lutheran Church in Louis Corners. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1974. On November 3, 1979 she married Milton Raeder at Salem UCC in Plymouth. Milton preceded her in death on January 20, 1995.
Survivors include her son; Gene (Marion) Prange of rural Kiel, three grandchildren; Douglas (Marsha) Prange of Kiel, Sharon Prange of Chicago IL, Sandy Prange of New Holstein, three great grandchildren; Jody Joas, Steven and Joseph Prange, two step-daughters; Delores (Edmund) Titel, Marilyn Schmitz both of Plymouth. three step- grandchildren and five step- great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister; Lucy Jurgens, a resident of the Calumet Homestead, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Beata was preceded in death by an infant grandson; Steven J. Prange, a step son-in-law; Willard Schmitz, eight brothers and two sisters.

Beata was a homemaker for most of her life, dedicating her time to caring for her family. She also worked for Hansen Glove for several years.

Beata was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Kiel. She loved playingcards, traveling and taking fishing trips.

Survivors include her son; Gene (Marion) Prange of rural Kiel, three grandchildren; Douglas (Marsha) Prange of Kiel, Sharon Prange of Chicago IL, Sandy Prange of New Holstein, three great grandchildren; Jody Joas, Steven and Joseph Prange, two step-daughters; Delores (Edmund) Titel, Marilyn Schmitz both of Plymouth. three step- grandchildren and five step- great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister; Lucy Jurgens, a resident of the Calumet Homestead, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Beata will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday April 1, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 387 Cemetery Rd. Kiel with the Rev. David Laabs officiating. Burial in the Schleswig Cemetery, Rockville. Friends may call at the Church on Tuesday from 10:30am until the time of services.

Beata's family would like to extend a very special thank you to Pastor David Laabs for the visits and prayers, also to the Staff at Willowpark Residence, the nurses and staff at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice and to Dr. Kapur and Dr. Pleviak for the wonderful care given to Beata over the years.
