Died December 23, 1996 at the age of 54. Beloved husband of Peggy M. Aman. Beloved father of Meaghan Erinn Aman. Beloved stepfather of Sean, Patrick Shannon and Courtney Brennan. Beloved son of the late Olie and Monika Aman of Hilmar. Also lovingly survived by brother Joseph Rohrer, sisters Isabel Zumstein, Lillie Olson and numerous niece and nephews.

Richard attended Hilmar High where he holds several records and awards in athletics. In his senior year he carried the Olympic Torch. He attended Davis College where he received his lifetime teaching credential. After leaving teaching, he became a general contractor for 27 years. He enjoyed building homes and making special projects, especially for his daughter Meaghan. An avid reader, he also loved gardening and nature. He enjoyed going to Armstrong Grove with his family and friends. His kindness and friendship was appreciated by many. He will be greatly missed.
