Robert E. Boyer, 82, of Gibsonburg, OH, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. He was born August 9, 1940 in Wellston, OH, to Clarence and Prudence (Lowe) Boyer. On June 18, 1960 he married Beverly Weed in McArthur, OH. Robert and Beverly raised 4 children and celebrated 54years of marriage together, before Beverly's passing in 2014. Robert found love again and on April 7, 2017 he married Corinne A. Anderson in Pemberville, OH. They blended their families late in life and have celebrated over 6 years of marriage together.
Robert worked as a waste treatment operator for Chrysler in Perrysburg for 34 years before he retired. A man of faith he was a member of First United Pemberville Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed sitting on his porch listening to music and watching the birds. Robert hosted an annual bean dinner gathering with family and friends. With so many joys in life, it was his family especially his grandchildren that brought him the most joy.
In addition to his wife Corinne, Robert is survived by his children: Rhonda Meyer of Fostoria, Robert R. (Lisa) Boyer of Pemberville, Ronald D. (Lauretta) Boyer of Millbury, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren. Brother, Lawrence (Faye) Boyer, sister, Patricia Scarberry. Stepchildren: Michael Anderson, Randall (Shawn) Anderson, Sherry (Dennis) Donnell and Sheila (Tom) Swartz. In addition to his first wife Beverly, Robert was preceded in death by his parents, son, Russell D. Boyer, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
Family and friends will be received from 10- 11 a.m., with a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 21, 2023, at First United Pemberville Presbyterian Church, 106 Perry Street, Pemberville, Ohio. Pr. Jim Miller will officiate. Robert will be laid to rest in a family committal service in Westwood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: First United Pemberville Presbyterian Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
