Obituary for Mark Umholtz Schreiber
Mark U. Schreiber, 65, Millersburg, R.D., died Saturday in Harrisburg Hospital after an illness of 8 days.
He was a son of the late B. Ottis and Cora Umholtz Schreiber and was born August 19, 1899 at Millersburg, R.D., where he was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Schreiber was a member of Lodge 59, Loyal Order of Moose, Millersburg.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lillian I. Klinger, six sons, William L. and Charles E., Harrisburg; Mark O. and Ray M., Millersburg; Calvin C., Dalmatia, R.D.; and Robert F. Schreiber, Tower City; six daughters, Mrs. Daniel Barry and Mrs. Jeremiah Rupp, Halifax, R.D.; Mrs. Coleman Jandel, Dover, N.J.; Miss Edith A. Schreiber, Millersburg, R.D.; Mrs. Roy Troxell, Lykens, R.D., and Mrs. Kermit D. Bingaman, Dalmatia, R.D., four brothers, Lee, Harrisburg; James, Enola; Harry, Newville, R.D., and Ray Schreiber, Hanover; 26 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Reigle Funeral Home, 512 Market St., Rev. Philip W. Zeigler, pastor of Salem and Rife Lutheran Churches, Millersburg, R.D., officiating. Interment was made in Oak Hill Cemetery, here.
