Anita E. Bishop, 79, of South Glens Falls, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, July 6, 2023, in her sleep.
Born on July 25, 1943, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Raymond F. and Pauline R. (Mitchell) Anderson.
Anita was a dedicated employee of General Electric where she worked for many years at General Electric until her retirement.
Following her retirement from GE she spent the remainder of her life with her precious grandchildren. Anita's heart was filled with so much love and joy for her grandchildren. She took great pride in being a grandmother.
Anita loved to bake and cook for her family and friends. She always looked forward to the time of the year when she could send out her famous cookies and fudge. Anita had an enormous heart and never ran out of love. She helped so many people in her lifetime and never expected anything in return.
In addition to her parents, Anita is predeceased by her son, David White; her grandson, Michael White; her sisters Sandra Talejkowski, Patricia Jenders, and Donna-Ann Hendley; her brothers Donald Mitchell, James Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, and Raymond Mitchell.
Left to cherish Anita's memories are her children, a daughter; four sons and their wives; her loving 13 grandchildren; her great grandchildren; her sister; and her brother. Anita is also survived by dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Anita is also survived by her best friend and companion for the last decade, her pet, Princess.
Anita was the matriarch of a huge family who loved her dearly until her final breath. Although she is gone, she will never be forgotten. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
