A native of Rushville, Indiana, she had lived here three and a half years. Mrs. Shew preciously lived in Cuyahoga Falls. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William O. Butler, Sr., in 1945. They were married on Aug. 7, 1899.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Stow, Dames of Malta and the Eagles Auxiliary No. 2207.
She leaves her husband, Ira S. Shew, whom she married on Aug. 28, 1954; two sons, William O. Butler and Jack C. Butler, both of Cuyahoga Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Virgil Swain of Stow and Mrs. Jean Marlin of Ravenna; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services in McGowan-Reid Funeral Home on Thursday at 3 p.m. with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
