Esther K. Brockert, 95, died Friday, Sept. 24, 2021.

She was born Jan. 12, 1926 to John W. and Katharina T. (Classen) Cornelson.

She married Fred Brockert Oct. 9, 1946.

She worked at Ideal Food from 1960 to 1969, Walls Food Liner from 1973 to 1977, J.M. McDonald from 1979 to 1980, Dillons from 1984 to 1995, and Wal-Mart from 1997 to 2005.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She also enjoyed reading her Bible, sewing, and word finds.

Survivors include son-in-law, ;grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Patricia Sue Bayer; eight brothers: Jacob, John, Pete, Abram, George, Isaac, Henry, and Anthony; and eight sisters: Mary, Katherine, Helen, Mary, Agnes, Elizabeth, Ann, and Gertrude.

Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021 at the Church of the Nazarene in Meade.

Cremation has taken place.

Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2021 at the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade.
