March 5, 1921 – July 7, 2023
Jane Jensen Lovelace, age 102, passed away peacefully July 7, 2023, on her husband, Woody's, birthday. Jane was born in Crosby, North Dakota, to Norwegian immigrant parents and was the youngest of nine siblings. Due to the early deaths of her parents, Jane was raised with great love by her older Jensen siblings in Amity, Oregon.
Jane met her future husband, Woody, at Linfield College, and together they raised their three children (Nancy, Tom, Annie) in Portland and Salem, Oregon.
Jane's greatest enjoyment was spending time with family and friends. She loved bridge and golf and was a prolific and talented painter. Her exceptional kindness, gentleness, acceptance of others, and willingness to have FUN made her dearly loved.
Woody and her son, Tom, preceded her in death. Jane is survived by her large Jensen and Lovelace families. She is also survived by her children: daughter Nancy (Pete) Hoffert and their children Tom Hoffert (Staci Studley) and Janie (Nick) VanBishler; daughter Annie (Jack) Seifer and their children Scott (Samantha) Seifer, Nick Seifer (Kasey Zimmer-Stucky), and Katie (Chris) Wanner; daughter-in-law Linda Armstrong and her children Jamie (Ted) Morris, Jessica Goffe, and Jackie Croft (Jacob Riffe). Jane had many loving great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Jane is also survived by her dear friend of 65 years, Nina Christensen.
Our family would like to thank Dr. James Parosa, Dr. Gerald Farnell, Prestige Southern Hills Assisted Living, and Willamette Vital Health Hospice Care for the excellent support and care provided to Jane.∼~~~Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service obituary
