Bertha Eldonna Coldren was born in Findlay, Hancock County, Ohio in 1889. She moved with her parents, Mary Francis and Henry Coldren to Parkin Arkansas. She had two sisters, Chloe Coldren Maffei and Nora Coldren Box. Two brothers, Harry LeRoy (Roy)Coldren and Jerry Coldren.

She married Alfred(fred)Kelley in 1904 in Wynne, AR. They had eight children, three died at birth, three sons, Harry, Henry, Alfred and two daughters Ethel Marie and Bernice.

Mrs. Kelley was a Christian Scientist. She had many friends in Parkin who had moved here during the Sawmill Industry.

She outlived all of her children except Ethel Marie and Alfred who lived in the family home until their death.

She was buried in Cogbill in 1970.
