Lannie was a lifelong resident of Grand Saline and worked throughout his life as a truck driver. He enjoyed mechanicing, collecting things, particularly knives, and was known for his great sense of humor.

Lannie was preceded in death by his son, Tony Rye Calder.

He is survived by his daughter, Lana Calder; sisters, Jo Ann Ferguson and husband, Darrell, Connie Johnson and fiancé, Randy Carver, and Penny Teter and husband, Jerry; 8 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and other loving family members and friends.
