Dorothy was a member of Messmer High School (Milwaukee), class of 1941.
Dorothy met her future husband, Landis "Landy" Scott while roller skating at the Palomar Roller Rink in Milwaukee, on December 6, 1941, the night before Pearl Harbor was bombed. Shortly thereafter, Landy was drafted into the Army Air Corps. The two lovebirds reunited and married in Denver Colorado on June 2, 1943. With Landy still in the service, they started a family in Clovis, New Mexico where Landy was stationed (Clovis AFB).
After Landy's military service, they returned to Milwaukee and continued growing their family. Dorothy thrived as a wife and mother and cherished the title of homemaker. She was the glue of the family.
In 1977 Dorothy and Landy moved to Los Angeles, California. Dorothy believed the move would be beneficial to Landy's health. They enjoyed their time there where they owned several horses.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Landy, their six children: Michael, Lannis (Sue), Thomas, Daniel, Gary, Sharon, and 4 grandchildren (Michael Jr., Jason, Trisha and Justin). She is also survived by siblings, Gilbert, James, Joseph and Marie. Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara (d: 1958)
