Stephen R. Kowalchin, 68, of Nanticoke, passed away unexpectedly Monday at his home.

A lifelong resident of Nanticoke, he was a son of the late Albert and Alice Rusty Kowalchin.

Stephen was employed as a truck driver by YRC (Yellow Roadway Corporation), and retired in 2000 after 36 years with the company.

He belonged to the Nanticoke Quoit Club and the 400 Club of Nanticoke.

In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Tiberi Kowalchin, in 2000.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, the former Nadine Wasiakowski; a daughter, Anna P. Kowalchin, at home; an uncle, Joe Kowalchin; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

Private funeral arrangements are in the care of Dinelli Family Funeral Home, Nanticoke.

There will be no public viewing or calling hours.

Entombment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
