Dinah Brown nee Spaulding, b. 14 Mar 1649 Chelmsford, Middlesex, MA, d. 11 Mar 1706 Canterbury, Windham, CT; her father was Edward Spaulding, b. 4 SEP 1596 St Peters Cornhill, London, England, d. 26 Feb 1669 Chelmsford Center, Middlesex, MA. Mother was Rachel Needham, b. 1622 Chelmsford, Middlesex, MA, d. 5 Apr 1670 Chelmsford, Middlesex, MA. She m. 9 Feb 1674 Chelmsford, Middlesex, MA, Deacon Eliazer Brown b. 1649 Concord, Middlesex, MA, d. 22 Jan 1720 Canterbury, CT. He married as his first wife Dinah Spaulding of Chelmsford, Middlesex Co., MA. Dinah was the mother of all of his children. Then married Rebackah/Rebecca Adams, the widow of John Waldo. Admitted freeman in Chelmsford on 11 March 1673/74. He served several terms in that town as a town clerk and selectman. He served during King Phillip's war in the company of mounted troupers commanded by Capt. Thomas Wheeler. At about the age of 55 he removed to Canterbury, Ct. There he served as a Deacon in the church. Children from first marriage: Eleazer, Dinah, Thomas, Benjamin, Bridget, Deliverance. According to David Malloy of Early New England Gravestones, and the Men Who Made Them, who restored her headstone, hers is the oldest stone in the Cleveland Cemetery. Mystery Boston Carver.
