Clinton Ray Bell, 66, died unexpectedly of natural causes at 11:56 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at his residence.

Born May 4, 1933, he was a son of Clinton and Ina Mays Bell.

Mr. Bell was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict.

He retired in 1991 from Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Clarion after 39 years of service.

Mr. Bell was a member of the Providence United Methodist Church at Knox RD 2.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football, gardening, woodworking and carpentry.

Mr. Bell was married Oct. 13, 1953, to Gayle Texter, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Kelly) Mattern of Vernon, Conn., and Lisa Bell and her companion, Dan Bundy, of Knox RD 2; two sons, Cary Bell and his wife, Penny, of Knox RD 2, and Charles Bell of Knox RD 2; and four grandchildren, Mandy Bell, Justin Mattern, Rebecca Mattern and Brittany Bundy.

He also is survived by a sister, Mrs. Everett (Bernice) Miller of Knox RD 1.

Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Matthew.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the David C. McEntire Funeral Home, Knox.

Visitation also will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday in the Providence United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the church with the Rev. Linda Porter, pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Providence United Methodist Church, RD 2, Knox, Pa. 16232.
