Ray Ellis Bollinger, age 93, of Peoria, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023 at his residence.

He was born June 30, 1930 in Bollinger County, MO to John and Elsie (Knowles) Bollinger. He married the love of his life Pat Hight on April 30, 1966 in Peoria. she survives. Ray and his wife Pat loved to travel in their camper! They saw so much of the world and always lived life to the fullest! You could always find Ray outside feeding the birds, feeding the neighborhood cats, or just working in his yard! Ray never knew a stranger and could light up a room with his big smile and bright blue eyes!

Ray was a United States Army veteran serving in the Korean War. Following his time in the military, Ray worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 38 years retiring in 1992. He was a member of the UAW 974 and the Caterpillar's Retirees Club.

He was also a member of the Bartonville American Legion Post 979, Bartonville VFW Post 3883, Bartonville Korean War Veterans, and the Limestone Democratic Club.

Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery with Military Honors.
