Eva Viola Mays,dau.of John and Elizabeth Kline Mays,Born in Beaver Twp.Clarion Co. and died in the place of her birth May 1,1915.Since last Oct. she had been in declining health.All that medical skills and loving hands could not stay the progressing disease.She knew the end was approaching and said to her pastor,"I am not afraid,Jesus is with me,at evening it was light".She was converted and united with the M.E.Church of Dr.J.Bell Neff and remained a faithful member unto the end. With the death of her mother,the burden of care of the family home devolved upon her and right and faithfully and efficiently did she perform the task.She filled the larger place of mother in the home as well as that of daughter.In recent yrs. two brothers James and John died.Her aged father,Mrs.Jennie Steltzer,Rimersburg and her brother,Oliver are the remaining members of the family.
Funeral serives wee held in the home conducted by her pastor,Rev.W.H.Robinson,Shippenville.A very large concourse of relatives and friends followed the remains to Providence Cem.
