CAMBRIDGE - Ray W. Beal, 73, of RD 3, a retired employee of the former Heller Tool Co. at Newcomerstown, died Tuesday in his home after suffering an apparent heart attack.

He also was a farmer and was born at Kimbolton, a son of the last Glenn I. and Mary Milligan Beal. He was a member of Irish Ridge United Methodist Church and a former member of Clear Fork Baptist Church, both near Kimbolton.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Lillian Smith; two sons, Avanzo-Von Beal of Port Washington and Raymond E. Beal of Dover; a sister, Nelva Hosfelt of Kimbolton; and seven grandchildren. One grandchild and a sister are deceased.

Rev. Dean Miller will officiate at services Friday at 2:30 in Scott-Atkinson Funeral Home with burial in Bells Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
