The eldest child and only son of Henry and Sylvia Tippit. Ralph leaves behind a legacy of love for his wife of 62 years, June Tippit; daughter: Susan Glenn (Larry); son: Keith Tippit (Donna); granddaughters: Jennifer Rogers (Bryan), Kristin Glenn, Julie Quimby (Tim), Jamie McCasland (Jimmy), Jaclyn Chavarria (Thomas); great-grandchildren: Ian, Brianna, Aidan, and Sarah Quimby, and Jimmy McCasland; sisters: Dortha Doyal (Venson), Ruth Branstetter (Lee), and Shirley Matthews (Lloyd). He is also loved by his nieces, nephews, other family and friends. One day after the attack on Pearl Harbor, Ralph enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and proudly served his country for 4 years in the South Pacific, and later served with the U.S. Army Counter Intelligence Corps. He is a graduate of SMU and worked as a CPA for NASA and U.S. Customs. Ralph was an active member of Spring Baptist Church and the Young at Heart Sunday School class. He avidly followed the stock market and politics, loved to work in his garden, tell war stories, and eat ice cream with his granddaughters.
