Mr. Griffin served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and received an Honorable Discharge on 9 Nov 1956. He was a retired Little Rock Police officer, having served 20 years and he was also a retired employee of Baptist Medical System, where he worked in the secuirty department of the hospital. Mr. Griffin was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.
Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Betty; two sons: Rod and Phillip and thier wifes; 6 wonderful grandchildren: Joshua, Zachary, Lindsey, Noah, Tara, and Wesley; one precious great-grandchild: Griffin; one brother: Henry Griffin; and one sister: Shirley.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at 10:00a.m. at the Roller-Ballard Funeral Home, in Benton, Arkansas. The Rev. John Perkins officiated the services. He was buried in Griffin-Leggett Rest Hills Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
