Not his correct military service. The description above is for a different (much younger) DG Hart that lived in KY. This David (my 2nd great grandfather) enlisted in Missouri and was Union, not Confederate.

Hart, D.(avid) G.(ilert)—(1826-1893) Born in Nashville, Tennessee, he served
in the Union Army from Missouri during the Civil War. A medical doctor, he
was a resident of Marion County, when he served in the 1871 Arkansas House,
representing the counties of Madison, Marion, Carroll, Fulton, Izard, and Stone.
In 1874-75, he served in the Arkansas Senate representing Fulton, Izard, Marion,
& Baxter Counties. He moved to Mountain Home in 1887, where he died. He was
buried at Bellefonte Cemetery, Bellefonte, Boone County, Arkansas.
