JOHN JOSEPH HENTGES

The Rev. Vincent Stageberg of Bethel
Congregational church officiated at the
April 23 funeral services held in Stoller's
Roselight Chapel at Washougal for John
Joseph Hentges, 65, of Washougal, who
died at Vancouver April 21, 1954. Interment
was made in Camas cemetery. Mrs. Edna
Stageberg served as organist and Marion
Routh as soloist.

John Hentges was born in LaCrosse,
Wisc., May 15, 1888. He had lived in
Washougal for 19 years and for 25 years had
been an employee of the Oregonian in
Portland.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; a son,
John G. Hentges, Washougal; five
daughters, Mrs. Lou Bell and Mrs. Donald
Taylor of Portland; Mrs. Glenn A. Lamb of
Skamania, Mrs. Carroll L. Altree and Miss
Ann Hentges of Washougal, and two
brothers and three sisters who live in the
east. There are also seven grandchildren.
