C. A. DOHNER, FORMER MEMBER OF BOARD OF REVIEW, IS DEAD


Charles A. Dohner, prominent Troy township farmer, died at his home five miles northeast of Butler Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock after a long illness from cancer of the lungs.


The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Zion U. B. church in Troy township, the Rev. E. J. Schueler of Butler, pastor of the Butler larger parish of the denomination officiating. Burial was made in the Butler cemetery.


Mr. Dohner was 66 years of age, having been born Aug, 21, 1876, in Williams county, O. He lived in Troy township most of his life.


He served on the DeKalb county board of review for 18 years, his last term being in 1940. He had been active in the Triple A and at the time of his death was township committeeman. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge at Butler.,


Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Jessie Dohner, three sons, Ross, Glenn and George, all living in Troy township, and several grandchildren.
