When she was twenty, Claude Allen KEYLON married George W SENSABOY in Meigs County, Tennessee and had two daughters, Jessie and Francis, during that marriage, her first. Claude's death certificate, like other family documents, correctly indicates that her first name was indeed Claude and not Claudia. Her half-sister Zerelda M ELLIS WEBSTER was the informant for the death certificate which finds Claude carrying the surname of another of her husbands, L L CAMPBELL, at the time she died of tuberculosis in 1927. She died in a Cleveland, Tennessee sanitorium, Pine Bridge, not far outside Chattanooga, a city which had been her home for quite a while.

Claude, like some of her ELLIS siblings, had what is often considered a surname for her middle name - in her case, "Allen." Zerelda ("Zee"), for instance, had the middle name "Mimms," and another half-sister, Cora, had "Pickens" for a middle name.

Though she died in Hamilton County, she is buried outside Rockwood in Roane County. In Winton Chapel Cemetery, her marker can be found among those a line of family graves, including her mother Mary HAGGARD ELLIS KEYLON. Nearby is her grandfather, Robert Gilliland HAGGARD (note his middle name), and her half-siblings Gilly, Frank, and Susie. Claude's grave marker has no surname but indicates that she was the daughter of "J H [James Harvey] and Mary H KEYLON."

She and her brother Virgil Peter KEYLON had been born into the huge blended family formed by widower James Harvey KEYLON, father of nine by his first wife, when he married his second wife Mary HAGGARD ELLIS in 1889. She had returned to her extensive family in Roane County just after being widowed in Arkansas when her first husband, Charles David ELLIS, was shot and killed. At the time of Charlie's death in the autumn of 1886, Mary was pregnant with their family's ninth child.

Original biographical entry: "Wife of George Washington Sensaboy. Died of gunshot wound after 1918. Daughter of James Harvey and Mary Haggard Keylon."
