Shirley J. Davison, 87, of Marshalltown, Iowa, formerly of Allison, died on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at the Israel Family Hospice Home in Ames.

Born Shirley Jean Good on October 10, 1935 in Liscomb, Iowa, she was the daughter of Wilfred Asa and Katherine Irene (Boyd) Good. She grew up in Ferguson, where she attended school and met her high school sweetheart, Warren Davison. They were married on June 20, 1954, in Ferguson. They lived in several places, including Minneapolis, Pepin, Wisconsin, Albany, Swea City, Westfield, and Barnum before settling down in Allison, Iowa.

A loving wife and mother, Shirley dedicated herself to raising her five children. She also worked at Kresege's Store and owned and operated an in-home daycare. As her kids grew, Shirley worked for the AEA Developmental Learning Center. In 2017, she and Warren moved to Marshalltown to be closer to family. They were members of Trinity Lutheran Church. The couple celebrated 68 years together before Warren's passing just this past September.

Shirley had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with her family. She was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying the Iowa Hawkeyes. She enjoyed reading and watching The Andy Griffith Show and the Western Channel.

Surviving are her children, Gregg (Kris) Davison, Dawn (Bruce) Hugunin, Kent (Shelly Larson) Davison, Perry Davison, and Trevor (Karen) Davison; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Marge Good; nieces and nephews; and close family friend, Christopher Campbell.

In eternal life, Shirley was reunited with her husband, Warren; parents, Wilfred and Katherine; granddaughter Lindsay Davison; and three brothers, Lou Good, Raymond "Fritz" Good, and Allen Good.
