Services for Mildred F. German, 75, Des Moines, who died April 6 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Wednesday, April 8, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan LeLaCheur officiating. Burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery.

Born in Winterset Dec. 18, 1911, she was the daughter of Byron and Ruth Beard Pace. She was married to Harold N. German on Jan. 5, 1947 at Grant City, Mo.

She was a homemaker and lived in Madison County until moving to Des Moines in 1967. She was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible in Des Moines and the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include sons, Dale Lyon of Austin, Texas, and Bob Lyon of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Judy Meline of Des Moines and Maureen Hildreth of Norwalk; brothers Lawrence Pace of Van Nuys, Calif., and K. Bob Pace of Des Moines; sisters, Pauline Larson of Denver, Colo., and Shirley Emery of Des Moines and Peggy Miles of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
