Widow of William Woodbridge Was Last of Family of Ten Children

Morley, Jan. 25 - Mrs. Ida Melinda Woodbridge,88, widow of William Woodbridge and the last of a family of ten children,died at 12:30 a.m. today at the home of her niece,Mrs. Ann Lawrence, where she had been visiting for weeks. Mrs. Woodbridge had been in poor health for the past year and death was due to a heart condition.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Mann Funeral Home, Madrid, and 2 p.m. at the Morley Wesleyan Methodist church with Rev. Ward Courtney, rector of the Waddington Episcopal church and Morley Trinity chapel, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Russell Frase, pastor of the Morley Methodist church.

Mrs. Woodbridge leaves two sons by a previous marriage, Rev. Arthur Northrup, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist church, Inlet; and J. Frank Northrup, Morley, with whom she had lived for the last ten years. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Born in Morley on Oct. 28, 1867, Mrs. Woodbridge was a daughter of Oliver and Elvira Race Hedden. She attended Morley elementary school and on Jan. 26, 1883 was married to Orlin Northrup, also of Morley. Mr. Northrup died on Aug. 31, 1915.

Eleven years later, on sept. 15, 1926, she was remarried to Mr. Woodbridge, of Morley, at the Methodist parsonage in Lisbon. After he died about ten years ago, Mrs. Woodbridge made her home with her son.

A member of the Morley Trinity chapel of the Episcopal church, Mrs. Woodbridge was also an honorary member of the Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society.
