Mrs. Sonnier died Thursday, July 29, 2004 in Lake Charles.
She was a native of Pecan Island and lived most of her life in the Lake Charles area. She had worked at Rosewood nursing Home in Crowley and was also a private-duty nurse for many years.
Survivors include three sons, Melvin Bertrand of Creole, Mike Bertrand of Westlake, and Paul Bertrand of China, Tex.; three daughters, Gail Villejion of Estherwood, Sandy Babineaux of Westlake, and Mona Guillory of Lake Charles; 28 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
