(Note: In July of 2023, Find A Grave Volunteer, Shannon Ruff, reported, "I have walked all over this cemetery and was not able to find any headstones for the Alstons. This cemetery does contain a few unmarked graves as well as plots with damaged headstones. I volunteer at the Heritage Library and we have no images on file of the Alston headstones either. I'm sorry!" So if this grave was ever marked, as of 2023, and probably for many years, this grave has been unmarked.)

Peggy Grayson/Greyson was married to Ceasar Alston c. 1869 in Beaufort County, South Carolina.

According to the 1910 census, Ceasar and Peggy were the parents of 14 children, seven of whom died young. They include;
1. Ceasar Alston Jr., born c. 1866 in Beaufort County, South Carolina.

2. Samuel Alston, born c. 1868/69 in Beaufort County, South Carolina. Samuel Alston is believed to have died by 1880, as he is not found in the 1880 census with family.

3. Maria Alston, born c. 1870 in Beaufort County, South Carolina.

4. Estella Alston, born c. 1871/72 in Beaufort County, South Carolina.

5. Andrew Alston, born c. 1875/76 in Beaufort County, South Carolina.

6. Douglas Alston, born c. 1876/77 in Beaufort County, South Carolina.

7. John Alston, born c. 1878/79 in Beaufort County, South Carolina.

8. William J. Alston, born c. 1885 in Beaufort County, South Carolina.

9. Alex Alston, born June 5, 1887 in Beaufort County, South Carolina. In July of 1937, Alex applied for Social Security and stated his date of birth was June 5, 1887 in Beaufort County, South Carolina and his parents were listed as Ceasar Alston and Peggie Greyson.

Peggy (Greyson/Garason) Alston died on August 18, 1921 in Beaufort County, South Carolina and her mortal remains were almost certainly laid beside those of her husband in the Pope Cemetery.
