Samuel Wheller was a British Home Child emigrated to Canada by Annie Macpherson in 1906. He came from the Smyly Homes, Dublin, Ireland. On May 12, 1906, Samuel arrived in Quebec aboard the Tunisian. From there, Samuel travelled with his travel party to the Coombe Home in Hespeler, Ontario. His sister, Louisa was also a British Home Child. She was emigrated to Canada the same year.
Samuel was placed out to work for farmer Mr. Hooker.
When he finished his indenture, he moved to the USA to be close to his brother William Frederick
He married Ella Veronica Sweeney in 1914.
