Sympathy from friends and neighbors here is extended to the bereaved family of Mrs. Kate Clemmer, who passed away last Sunday noon. Mrs. Clemmer suffered a stroke while shopping in Peoria just before Thanksgiving, from which she did not recover.

Kate Clemmer was born in Alexis, Ill., Aug. 11, 1868, thedaughter of Delila Jane Scott and Abraham Flory. She was married to Samuel G. Clemmer at Keithburg, Ill., June 6, 1883. To this union, eight children were born, the husband and four children preceding her in death. She has been a resident of Hanna City for the past fifty years. In 1913 she joined the Oak Leaf Camp No. 5110, R. N. A., Hanna City and had been a very active member in that society.
Those who survive her are two daughters, Mrs. Hattie Parry and Mrs. Flossie Bradshaw, Hanna City, two sons, Fred Clemmer, Peoria, and William, Hanna City, 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, also one sister, Mrs. Mary Ray, Centerville, Iowa. She passed away at her home, Jan. 15 at the age of 71 years, 5 months, 4 days.
Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Clemmer at the Methodist church, Hanna City, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. W. F. Hunter officiating. Mrs. Robert McClugage and Mrs. John Wise sang, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Sometime Somewhere" assisted by Mrs. Eleanor Parr at the piano. Pallbearers were Wm. Bradshaw, Jas. Bradshaw, Roe Ford, Enos McAlister, Jack Howard and Mark Glasgow, with members of the Royal Neigh-bors honorary pallbearers.

Interment was made in Smithville Cemetery.
