Russell Brunty 97, of 23221 Jordan Run Road died in the O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens.
He was born in Lincoln County, West Virginia, he was the son of the late John and Frances Davis Brunty.
Russell was a coal miner and he attended the Torch Gospel Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-laws, Ralph and Judy, and Donald and Agnes, all of Coolville, and several grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceeded in death by his wife Edna Brunty who died in 1975, a daughter, Leona Nelson, and a son Russell Brunty Jr.
