Eloise V. Humbertson

Eloise V. Humbertson, 93, formerly of Parkersburg, died July 11, 2006, at her residence in Huntington.

She was born May 1, 1913, in Cumberland, Md., a daughter of the late Jacob and Patience Ginn Daniels.

Eloise retired from Leavitt Funeral Home, where she worked as bookkeeper and organist from 1961 until 1978. She was also a current member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and former member of the Lions Club.

She is survived by four children, Albert O. Humbertson Jr. of Waynesboro, Va., Marcia Anderson of Huntington, W.Va., Patricia A. Ewing of Endwell, N.Y., and Daniel G. Humbertson of Chester, Md.; 10 grandchildren, Debra Corder, Allison Humbertson, Melinda Fackler, Albert Lee Anderson, James W. Anderson, Patti Sue Novak, Michelle Forward, Wesley Ewing, Jon Ewing and Autumn Grogan; 13 great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marian Smith of Cumberland, Md., and Kathleen Nield of Columbia, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert O. Humbertson; three brothers; and one sister.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. William Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
