Judy M Sizemore
December 31, 1945 - July 2, 2023

Judy McKinley Sizemore, age 77, of Pensacola, FL (her adopted home, loved city, and favored beaches), died at home July 2, 2023 having lost a battle with two forms of aggressive cancer & a deadly blood infection - sepsis. Judy was born in Russell Springs, Russell County, Kentucky on December 31, 1945 to Ernest & Allena McKinley. Judy lost most of her eyesight in 1965 due to a tumor on her pancreas and it taking the oxygen from her optical nerves. She was a beautician by trade and never let the loss of her sight detour her! She owned her own beauty shop in Russell County with exceptional results and loyal patrons. She later worked in assisted living facilities working with residents with dementia as a beautician/barber and could work magic in getting them to cooperate! She also worked in the laundry room of a Pensacola Beach Hotel outpacing others and doing an incredible job! Judy also was an avid bowler & pool/billiards enthusiast. Although she could not see what she had, if you told her - she would line up and beat you every time! Judy will be missed by many Family & Friends! She was preceded in death by the love of her life and Angel who cared for her - her husband Byron H. Sizemore, U.S. Navy Retired. He asked her to marry him before he even knew she was blind! Also preceded in death by her daughter Jamey Antle Holt, also her parents, a Great Grandchild, and a step son.
She is survived by her Family Caregivers & Sons-In-Law Kenny Holt and Mark McLeod (Pensacola), special Friend and Caregiver Yvette Best (KY & FL), favored cousins who are like brothers Freddy McKinley & Don Lucas (OH), a sister Kathy McKinley Goodin and Family (KY), a Step Son Byron Sizemore (NY) and Family, a Great Aunt Lenie McKinley (Orlando, FL), Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and lots of other Family and Friends!
Graveside service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetary, Naval Air Station, Pensacola where she will be layed to rest with Byron at 11am on July 6, 2023.
