Connie Jamison

Sioux Falls - Connie Jamison (Snyder) was born February 7, 1953, the fifth of 7 siblings.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Stewart (Butch) and Cora (Jean) Snyder, sister Linda, brothers Ron, Tim and his daughter Liberty, and her nephew Doug.

Connie is survived by 3 brothers; her husband; 4 children; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Connie played an important role in the life of her Niece "B" and her 2 children after her sisters passing.

Connie grew up in a family of card players who shared their love of cards with everyone. Her father was a passionate player and teacher of card games whose intensity was passed on to Connie and her children. I know there will be one wild time when she sits down to play in heaven. I can just hear the bids from here. When she takes a break from cards, I'm sure she'll hit that big pickle ball court for a game or two. Pickle ball was a passion for her, teaching new players and making them comfortable with the game brought her great joy. She and her son were early promoters of the sport in Sioux Falls. Her son took her to play for the first time and she was hooked. When the Sioux Falls pickle ball club was formed, she served as an early member of the board. Many describe her smile and support while they learned the game as being the reason they kept coming back to play. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She taught her grandchildren a thing or two on the court. 

Connie loved to see her grandchildren grow and attended as many of their activities she could. You could always find her in the crowd cheering them on. It did not matter the sport, dance, singing or any activity she showed up. When she could not be there she would follow their achievements any way she could. 

If you ever saw her smile you would never forget, it lit up her entire face. She will be missed by all who were touched by that wonderful smile! 

A memorial service will be held at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home at 2 pm on Saturday August 28, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Sioux Falls Humane Society.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 28, 1:00 PM, at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home with a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. A complete obituary is available at barnett-lewis.com.
