Modean Lamb, 92, passed away peacefully at home on March 25, 2008. Modean was born on December 17, 1915 in Sedalia, Ky. Modean married Murphy Lamb, on November 30, 1935. The couple moved to California in 1938 where she resided until her death. Modean and Murphy had two children, a son, Duane Lamb, and a daughter, Linda LaVoye, both of Oroville.
Five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She also had two special nieces, Barbara Morgan and Brenda Bateman; and newphew, Clyde Colley Jr. Modean was employed by both MidValley Title and Butte Title Companies.
Modean was an excellant seamstress and enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting, but most of all she enjoyed her family. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 53 years.
Viewing will be on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Scheer Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
Services are under the direction of Scheer Memorial Chapel.
