Esther was active in Daughters of the Nile, and Paradise Christian Women's Club.
She is survived by five children, Tim, Steve, and Jeff Akin, Kathy Howell, Linda Edwards; daughters-in-law, Paulette and Becky Akin; nephew, Richard Akin, 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren.
Both son's have since passed away, Tim 2010, and Steve 2012.
