I have no positive documentation for his burial in Chebeague Island Cemetery, but he was born, lived & died on the Island & his immediat family are all buried here, so, unless he was cremated, he certainly would have been buried here also.

Obituary from p.2 of the 11 OCT 1939 edition of the "Evening Express" of Portland, Maine:
. Lemuel C. Mansfield, 59, died Tuesday at his home at Chebeague Island of a cerebral hemorrhage.
. He was born at Chebeague, the son of James E., and Emily Larrabee Mansfield. As a young man he was employed by the old Portland Street Railway Company, later going to Worcester, Mass., to work as an electrician. He returned to Chebeague 12 years ago.
. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Viola F. Mansfield: a step-son, Everett Soule of "Portland; a brother, William, of Chebeague; two half-brothers, Michael and Arthur Mansfield, and four sisters, Mrs. Addison Hamilton of Chebeague, Mrs. Lucy Reynolds, Mrs. Eli Pickering, and Miss Eliza Mansfield, all of Penacook, N. H.
. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p. m., Thursday.

"Vital Records of Cumberland, Maine 1701-1892" Gives birth date of Jul 22, 1880 for Mansfield, Lemuel R. Parents: James & Emily Mansfield.
