Mr. Davis was born Nov. 22, 1899, in Indianapolis, the son of William T. and Mary Maze Davis. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Baptist faith. He was a graduate of the John Herron Art School in Indianapolis and of Indiana University. He taught art in the Manual High School in Indianapolis for 45 years and was the head of the art department for 20 years. He retired in 1966.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation, and the body is to be cremated. The arrangements were handled by the Reed and Jewell Funeral Home in Columbus. Memorials may be given in the form of donations to the Heart Association.
