Jacob Replogle Dies Monday At Residence.
A well-know retired farmer and dairyman, Jacob S. Replogle, 79, was claimed by death Monday evening at 7:30 o'clock at his residence, southeast of Union City on route 71, following a one week illness from complications. A lifelong resident of Ohio, he was born on June 22, 1866 in Darke county, the son of Jacob and Abigale Jones-Replogle. He attended the Rose Hill school, and later was graduated from Ansonia high school.
On May 16, 1885 he was married to Ida Jane McEowen at Rossburg, Ohio, who preceded him in death of October 19, 1938. Mr. Replogle was a member of the Methodist church in Union City.
The body has been removed to the Brooks funeral home where friends may call any time after Wednesday afternoon.
Final rites will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Earl Lantz in charge. Interment will be in the Ansonia cemetery.
Surviving are two daughters Miss Lucille Replogle, at home, and Mrs. Eva Glendora (Joe) Welch, Union City; two sons, Ray Replogle, Los Angeles California, and Elsworth Anderson Repogle, Rockford, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Sarah King, Union City
