Mrs. Ada C. "Boots" Shaughnessy, 88, of 619 W. Calhoun Ave. died at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday at the Capitol Villa Nursing Center.
Born in Auburn, Mrs. Shaughnessy was the daughter of the late Frank and Ida Mae Lester Brown.
She married Frank P. Shaughnessy in 1916, and he died in 1963.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Teubner and Mrs. Edna Sieving.
Mrs. Shaughnessy was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church and the Blue Ridge Club.
Surviving are one sisters, Mrs. Geneva Strebel, of Springfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were at SS. Peter and Paul Church.
Burial was in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
