Served as a paratroper in WWII at The Battle of the Buldge, fraternal twin brother (Milbert), mother died when he was 3 months of age and twins were orphaned, went to a CC camp at age 14, had 1 other brother in addition to fraternal twin brother and another brother that died at birth. He died of a heart attack at age 53.
