Dora spent the last years of her life living with her daughter in McNeal, Arizona. Although her husband died in Arizona he chose to be buried in Texas with his parents. Dora chose to be married with her children in the McNeal Cemetery.

Louis died in Bisbee, Arizona and was sent to Fredericksburg, Texas for burial. His wife Dora returned to Arizona and lived with family until she died in 1950. Dora is buried in the McNeal Cemetery in McNeal, Arizona. Her tombstone was placed here to once again reunite husband and wife one last time.
