Thomas Morris Davies was born at Spittal in Pembrokeshire.
He moved to Llanelly where together with his brother Walter, they invented the Stepney Spare wheel in 1904.
In 1935 he made a gallant attempt to rescue his niece Edith May Vaughan from drowning at Llangennith on the Gower.
Thomas never married died in 1951 and is buried with his mother Mary Davies and his niece Roasamond Vaughan.
